Before delivery day

Planning a hot tub at a Galveston home

A few things we check for almost every Galveston delivery:

Access to the backyard

Many island homes are raised on pilings, so we plan whether the spa goes at ground level, on a patio or on a deck that is built to carry the weight.

Electrical

Most full-size hot tubs need a dedicated 240V GFCI-protected circuit installed by a licensed electrician. If you’d rather skip that, ask about plug-and-play models that run on a standard outlet.

City, county and HOA rules

The City of Galveston sets its own building rules, and beachfront and historic-district properties can have extra requirements. We’ll tell you what applies at your address.

Salt air and storm season

Salt air is hard on covers and equipment, and hurricane season runs June through November. A well-fitted cover with tie-down straps and a sheltered spot make a real difference.
